矿产资源 

　　中国幅员辽阔，矿产资源丰富。已经探明的矿藏有145种，其中有些矿产为中国所独有。

　　煤炭作为中国的主要能源，其产量相当于世界煤炭总产量的30%，居世界第一位。主要有开滦、大同、阳泉、淮南等煤矿。

　　中国石油、天然气资源比较丰富。陆上油田主要分布在东北、华北、西北等地，如大庆、胜利、辽河、克拉玛依等油田。其中，大庆油田是中国最大的油田。正在大力勘探开发的塔里木盆地蕴藏丰富的石油，有的地方已投入开采。此外，中国近海海域，也蕴藏着丰富的油气资源。

　　中国的铁矿储量约500亿吨，居世界前列。但是贫矿多，富矿少，矿石成分复杂。 中国的有色金属储量丰富，品种繁多，有“有色金属王国”之称。其中钨、锡、锑、锌、钛、锂等金属的储量居世界首位。

　　从矿产资源总量上看，中国是资源大国。但因中国人口众多，人均资源占有量不及世界平均水平的一半。

　　China has a broad land and rich mineral resources. There are 145 confirmed minerals, some of which are only found in China.

　　The output of the main energy resource in China, coal, amounts to 30% of the world's total. The chief coal mines are Kailuan, Datong, Yangquan and Huainan.

　　China is rich in oil and natural gas. Oilfields on land are distributed in Northeast, North and Northwest China, etc, such as Daqing, Shengli, Liaohe and Karamay oilfields. Among them, the Daqing Oilfield is the biggest oilfield in China. The Tarim Basin under development contains rich oil reserves. Some areas of the basin have been exploited. Apart from those, the offshore area is also rich in oil and natural gas.

　　China has approximate 50 billion tn of iron ore reserves, making it one of the few countries with rich iron ore resources. But most are low-grade iron ores whose composition is very complicated.

　　China abounds in nonferrous metals of great variety, giving it a reputation as the "kingdom of nonferrous metals". The reserves of tungsten, tin, stibium, zinc, titanium, lithium and so on are on top the world.

　　Calculated by total reserves, China is a big country with rich resources. But, because of the large population, the reserve per capita is less than half of that of the world.
