西安  

　　西安是陕西省的省会，是中国东西交通枢纽和西北地区重要的城市。 

　　西安是中国历史文化名城，名胜古迹非常多，如秦始皇兵马俑博物馆、大雁塔、小雁塔、西安碑林、半坡博物馆、华清池等。  

　　大雁塔 

　　大雁塔初建为5层，唐代武则天当皇帝时，扩建为10层，后被战火破坏。现存7层，塔高64米，是全国重点保护文物。 小雁塔 

　　小雁塔初建时有15层，后来由于多次地震，塔顶两层被震塌，现尚存13层。它造型优美，比大雁塔小，所以叫小雁塔。 

　　明朝时，长安发生地震，小雁塔从顶部往下裂开了一条30多厘米宽的裂缝，后来再次地震，裂缝合拢了。小雁塔共经历了6次地震，3次裂开、3次合拢，塔却不倒，真是神奇。  

　　华清池 

　　华清池是一个古老而著名的温泉，泉水温度为43℃，含有多种化学成分，对人体有医疗保健作用。 

　　半坡遗址 

　　半坡遗址是黄河流域规模最大、保存最完整的原始社会母系氏族村落遗址。

　　Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, is the hub of communications between East and West China and an important city in Northwest China.   

　　It is a famous historical and cultural city in China. There are many scenic spots and historical sites, such as the Qinshihuang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an Forest of Steles, Banpo Museum of Neolithic Relics and the Pool of Glorious Purity.  

　　Big Wild Goose Pagoda 

　　When Big Wild Goose Pagoda was first built, it had five storeys. When Wu Zetian (624 ?705 AD, the only empress in Chinese history who ruled China from 690 to 705 AD under the dynastic title of Zhou, which reverted to Tang upon her abdication) ascended to the throne, it was expanded to 10 storeys. Subsequently, it was devastated by wars and fires, and is now only seven storeys, and a height of 64 m. It is one of the key cultural relics under State protection.  

　　Small Wild Goose Pagoda 

　　Small Wild Goose Pagoda originally had 15 floors, but later, because of frequent earthquakes, the top two floors collapsed leaving the 13 still extant. As it is smaller than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, although looking most graceful, it was given the name Small Wild Goose Pagoda. 

　　In the Ming Dynasty (1368 ?1644 AD), an earthquake struck Chang'an and a crack over 30 cm wide appeared in the pagoda, only to be closed by another earthquake later. This same thing occurred two more times over the ensuing centuries, but the pagoda remains unscathed, which is a miracle.  

　　Pool of Glorious Purity 

　　The Pool of Glorious Purity is an old famous hot spring whose temperature is about 43°C. It contains various chemical elements, which has an effect of medical treatment and health care.   

　　Banpo Ruins 

　　Banpo Ruins is the largest and most complete matrilineal commune of the primitive society in the drainage area of the Yellow River.
