Mount Huangshan, situated in the south of Anhui Province, forms a famous scenic spot in China honored as a national treasure and a wonder in the world. In 1990, UNESCO listed it as a world natural and cultural heritage site.

黄山素有“中国第一奇山”之誉，险峻、雄伟、奇特、壮观。千米以上的高峰有77座，著名的山峰有30座。最高峰是莲花峰，海拔高度为1，873米；其次为天都峰和光明顶，高度都超过了1，800米。 黄山以“奇松、怪石、云海、温泉”四绝闻名于世。
奇松 黄山的松树大多生长在悬崖峭壁上，扎根在悬岩裂缝中，千姿百态，奇妙绝伦，非常惹人喜爱。
黄山最著名的松树是“迎客松”。它破石而生，挺立在玉屏峰东侧、文殊洞之上，已生长了800多年。它树枝前伸，就像人伸开手臂迎接远方的客人。

怪石 黄山的怪石特别多，如莲花峰的岩石呈莲花瓣形状，从远处看它像一朵初开的莲花；飞来石位于飞来峰，底部和山峰截然分开，好象是从天外飞来的一样；在北海散花坞左侧，有一块孤立石峰，顶巅长了棵奇松像花一样，故名“梦笔生花”。

还有如“松鼠跳天都”、“猴子观海”、“天女散花”、“关公挡曹”、“仙人下棋”等，个个都形象逼真，使游客流连忘返。
云海 黄山四季都有壮观的云海，每当云海出现时，山峰时隐时现，特别是夕阳斜照而有云雾时，有时会出现一种彩色的光环。人在光环之中，人动影亦动，这就是著名的“宝光”，也叫“佛光”。

温泉 朱砂温泉是黄山最著名的温泉。每隔若干年，水色就会变红，经过六七天后方逐渐变清。其水温一般在42℃，水质清澈，可以饮用，可以沐浴，具有医疗价值。

Mount Huangshan, precipitous and magnificent, is usually considered as "he most peculiar mountain in China".There are 77 peaks over 1,000 m high, among which 30 peaks are famous. The highest one is the Lotus Peak (1,873m), followed by the Peak of Celestial City and the Peak of Brightness, both above 1,800 m.
Mount Huangshan is famous for four unique scenes-peculiar pine trees, strange rocks, cloud seas and hot springs.
Strange Pine
Trees Pine trees of Mount Huangshan mainly grow on the cliffs or are rooted in the cracks between rocks. They are all different in posture.
The most famous pine tree on Mount Huangshan is the so-called "Guests-Greeting Pine Tree"which comes out of rocks and stands upright over the Cave of Wisdom east of the Peak of the Jade Screen. It is more than 800 years old. Its front branches stretch forward as if it is spreading its arms to greet guests from far away.
Strange Rocks
There are numerous strange rocks on Mount Huangshan. For example, rocks on the Lotus Peak look like a lotus in blossom when seen from afar; the Rock Which Flew from Afar on the Peak Which Flew from Afar is separated from the peak as if it flung from far away; at the left side of the Valley of the North Sea Disseminating Flowers, there is an isolated rock peak on top of which grows a peculiar pine tree like a flower, namely the "Blooming in Dream".
In addition, there are rocks like "Squirrel Jumps over the Celestial City","Monkey Views the Sea","Celestial Girls Scattering Flowers","Lord Guan Blocks the Way of Cao Cao","Immortals Play Chess"and so on, each of which looks vivid and makes tourists reluctant to leave.
Cloud Sea
There is splendid cloud sea on Mount Huangshan. When the cloud sea appears, peaks emerge and disappear from time to time. Especially at sunset, there sometimes appears a colorful aureole that encircles people. When you move, the aureole also moves. This is the famous "Treasure light", also "Buddha's halo".
Hot Springs
The Vermillion Hot Spring is the most famous hot spring on Mount Huangshan. Every a few years, the water becomes red, before gradually clearing after six or seven days. Its temperature usually stays at 42℃. The water is very clear, and drinking it also has medicinal value.
